These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShopHop iOS app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
ShopHop is a venue that helps neighbors discover garage sales and buy and sell items locally. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We don't handle payments between buyers and sellers, don't inspect items, don't guarantee any listing, and don't conduct background checks on users. Transactions, payments, and meetups are arranged directly between buyers and sellers at their own discretion and risk.

Badges shown in the app (such as verification or community trust indicators) are informational signals only. A badge is not an endorsement, guarantee, or promise about any user or transaction. Always use your own judgment.
ShopHop Plus is an optional subscription billed through your Apple ID. Pricing and features are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
ShopHop transactions typically involve meeting in person. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Take reasonable precautions: meet in public where possible, during daylight, and consider bringing someone with you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release ShopHop from claims arising out of interactions or transactions between users.
You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. You're responsible for having the rights to what you post.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopHop and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or transactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll update this page and notify you in the app when appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
